What Planet Are You From?

Part of Planet Earth is a school assembly program that takes students on a journey of discovery through the wonders of our amazing planet and it’s many inhabitants. The show uses live music, songs, stories, high-def video and audience participation to engage everyone in a unique and informative look at planet Earth. Students will come away with a new appreciation for the vastness and variety of our world and an understanding of what we each can do to keep the planet and ourselves healthy.

GLOBAL AWARENESS

Part of Planet Earth uses music and multimedia to provide a fun and informative look at the amazing diversity of life, people and natural processes on our planet.

By providing a context for realizing that all living creatures are Part of Planet Earth, we encourage students to find ways to safeguard our heritage of a healthy and habitable world.

HEALTHY EATING

As we come to understand that we are literally made out of the food we eat, we can make healthier choices. The assembly features several of Ron Franklin's original songs from the Emmy-winning children's TV show The Good Food Factory.

The program helps promote awareness of where our food comes from and how we can make our kitchen a Good Food Factory so we can learn to cook healthy food from scratch!

LOCAL ACTION

A primary goal of the Part of Planet Earth Assembly is to encourage kids to think globally and act locally by getting involved in service organizations that help the planet.

The show includes ways we can all help to protect and preserve our planet and the plants and animals that live here - including us!

About the Program

Part of Planet Earth is an educational assembly program suitable for schools (K-12) and civic groups. The program is designed to include work with individual classes to learn the songs, followed by a 45 minute group assembly.
